Published on August 14th, 2010

Now here’s something interesting that will definitely burn some holes in our pockets. Then again, if it does burn holes, why would we want to buy this anyways? Since we can’t buy ‘em, drool on them as you please.

What we have here is the Brabus Ultimate 112 machine. The 112 allows for customization to fit the owner’s needs, such as paintjobs and cockpit decorations. It is based on the Smart ForTwo Cabrio, but with 112hp spurting out from the 3-cylinder turbocharged engine at 5,750rpm and with only 112 units being produced worldwide. This is one rare car.

The 112 will be put on display at the Main Concourse Area of the Bangsar Shopping Complex (near Pusat Bandar Damansara, top of the hill) until this Sunday (August 15 2010) from 10am to 10pm.

The car is also available with muscular bodykits which includes a front spoiler, rocker panels and Brabus Widestar fender flared for front and back. The glossy black Brabus Monoblock VI double-spoke wheels are mounted on the front axle in size 7Jx18 with size 205/35R18 high-performance tyres, and 8.5jx18 wheels with size 235/30R18 tyres for the rear. That’s plenty of rubber touching the tarmac for the rear.

Hi-Lo Brabus adjustable coil-over are also installed.

Toque is rated at 150Nm readily available from 3,300rpm to 3,900rpm. Paddle-shifters are available for sporty drives of if you want to test out the acclaimed 0-60km/h in 3.9s or 0-100km/h in 9.5s by the manufacturer. The car’s top speed, however is electronically-limited to 170km/h.

The fumes from all that power are taken care of by Brabus Stainless-steel sport exhaust dual aluminum tailpipes system.

For the interior, soft and breathable Brabus Mastik leather is stitched with contrasting seams. This is especially nice if you have delicate rear-end. Brabus emblem decorates the interior, which included the instrument panel instrument bezels, tachometer, speedometer, well, pretty much everywhere.

Stainless-steel foot pedals and anti-slip padding, together with an aluminum shifter and emergency brake lever are made ready for those who are in the need for a helmet and a pair of gloves. The rest are pretty much standard with climate control system, radio and navigation system.

The Ultimate 112 is priced at RM580,000.00. The car was tailor made by NAZA Group of Companies Joint Group Executive Chairman Dato’ Hj SM Faisal Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin.

“With BRABUS, we sell a particular lifestyle, something that would appeal to those who want to be exclusive and special, with the same durable and reliable German technology built into them. This constantly requires introducing a full range of vehicles from this niche and extremely exclusive marquee,” he said.

On a side note, the Brabus ECO PowerXtra CGI performance kits offer powerful engine tuning for the Mercedes 200, 250 and 350 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY models with direct-injection gasoline engines. The most powerful direct-injection gasoline engine from Mercedes-Benz at present, the 3.5-liter V6 in the C 350, CLS 350 and E 350 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY models, produces an additional 18hp. Performance of these models sees a marked improvement, with the top speed having increased from 250kph 267kph.
