I latter found out that camry was being recalled in europe for the same thing. I fought toyota tooth and nail to have it fixed and on 6/26/o6 they agreed to replace the steering shaft calling it customer participation towards good will repair. Now this defect is all over the news in this country I feel I've been cheated and toyota owes me two hundred and fifty seven dollars.
