The Duke is now locally made

Published on January 22nd, 2011

Motonation Manufacturer Sdn Bhd has recently unveiled their plans for CKD project to produce KTM 690 Duke and Duke R motorcycles. This is a definite good news to our local riders as they can now add more models to their ‘my next bike’ list while juggling their ‘I need more cash’ list as the prices will definitely be cheaper for these bikes.

The CKD plant will come to life in 2011 with all the necessary equipment needed to deliver the same quality as any KTM bikes produced in Austria.

Dealers will be made available all over Malaysia, but they will be concentrated on major motorcycle enthusiast locations.

“Our main intention is to serve our customers by giving them the best motorcycle to fit their passion in riding. KTM bikes are made with “Ready to Race” vision in mind, and this will continue full force in Malaysia,” said Kenny Lee, CEO of Motonation Manufacturer Sdn Bhd.

Duke 690 will be sold at RM44,800.00 while the Duke 690R will be sold at RM48,915.00.  Bookings can already be made at Welly World Cycle Sdn Bhd Sungai Buloh with downpayment for the Duke 690 is RM15,100.00 and RM16,415.00 for the 690R. Interest rate is 4.8%.
