The first ever SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER CHALLENGE SERIES (SNF) Champions were awarded their Championship Trophies at the SNF 2012 Awards Presentation High Tea at Chef & Brew in Damansara Heights.

SNF promoters took the opportunity to also officially announce and launch SNF 2013, the biggest news being the introduction of a new genre of SNF racing: SNF Moto.

SNF Moto will feature two categories: SNF 135 for 2-stroke motorbikes up to 135cc and 4-stroke motorbikes up to 200cc; and SNF 150 for 2-stroke motorbikes up to 150cc and 4-stroke motorbikes up to 250cc.

Adian Yein, Director of explains, “After 3 years of fine-tuning and developing the SNF formula for cars, it’s time to give the motorbike fraternity a chance at affordable grassroots racing. The demand and market for SNF Moto is very high, and we hope to be able to emulate the fun, excitement, and success of SNF to this segment.”

Saturday Night Fever (SNF) ran 7-rounds in 2012 under an official sanctioned Club racing event, attracting an average of 2,500 spectators per round, and has emerged as the most popular grassroots motorsports series.

Faisal Asri, Motorsports Director announced, “Even with the upgrade to sanctioned Club-level race event, a total of 141 cars participated in SNF in 2012, with a total of 162 drivers. The requirement for the installation of roll-cage did not hinder participation, the majority adhering to this necessity for their own safety and protection.”

SNF 2013 will feature several rounds at the Sepang South Circuit to add new variety, as well as a 1-hour Enduro race for 2 drivers per car, to provide the opportunity for new drivers to enjoy the thrills of SNF.

Action starts at 7:00pm and goes on till midnight, with spectator tickets priced at RM30.00 for Paddock & Rooftop Access, and RM10.00 for Grandstand access.
