Although previous Kuala Lumpur International Motor Shows never really quite lived up to expectations, nevertheless, over 300,000 people are still expected to visit the Kuala Lumpur International MotorShow (KLIMS) come December 2010. The 7th edition of KLIMS, which coincides with MAA’s 50th anniversary celebrations, will open its doors to the public from 3rd to 12th December 2010, with the venue being the same as before, as in the iconic Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur.

The organizer, MAA, is confident that ticket sales will top the 300,000 mark as motoring enthusiasts, car buyers and fun-seeking families are expected to visit what is set to be the year end extravaganza.

With only less than seven months to go, the organizer is confident that the recovery of the economic landscape will further boost the participation of car manufacturers to showcase their latest products that is set to not only excite, but to capture the hearts of all KLIMS’10 visitors.

It is hoped that the 10-day exhibition can live up to its billing of being a high-energy, brilliant showcase of the latest in emerging auto technology, which includes the newest models and a selection of both concept and revolutionary vehicles.

We are truly excited as preparations for the show are moving forward. With strong signals that the global economy is making a positive turn about, this is clearly reflected in the interest shown by car brands in increasing the space size of their exhibition area and the influx of car makers wanting to participate this December,” said Datuk Aishah Ahmad, the approachable and friendly President of MAA, who also serves as the Chairwoman of the KLIMS’10 Organising Committee.

We believe that KLIMS’10 will be a great platform for automakers to showcase their exciting new models as we aim to put on a fantastic show for all motoring fans, and we are confident that more exhibitors will be joining in the fray of KLIMS’ 10, to showcase their product designs and technological ingenuity,” added. Datuk Aishah Ahmad.

To date the car makers which will be displaying their cars at KLIMS’10 are Chery, Daihatsu, Nissan, Honda, Hyundai, Isuzu, Mitsubishi, UD Trucks, Peugeot, Kia, Perodua, Proton, Toyota and Weststar Maxus.

KLIMS’10 main message of “WE CARE” still stands as the official theme. CARE is the acronym for Commitment, Advancement, Reliability and Environment. As part of promotional roll-out, fans can expect an onslaught of marketing, promotion and exciting activities in the lead up to KLIMS’10. Extensive advertising will also be used to make KLIMS a key event in Malaysia’s tourism calendar to attract more tourists.
