As in 2011, fans are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets early because seat selection will not be allowed during the ticket sales on the 23rd to 25th March in the interest of serving the larger crowd of patrons present at the circuit grounds.

For Maybank Visa and MasterCard Credit/Debit cardmembers, they have an added reason to purchase their tickets in advance as they will enjoy 25% off the normal ticket price for Grandstand tickets. To enjoy this exclusive discount, Maybank cardmembers must charge their tickets to their Maybank card at the time of purchase.

Tickets are available through SIC’s ticket counters at KL Sentral and Sepang, ticket hotline 03-8778 2222 or through Alternatively, tickets are also available for purchase through or AirAsiaRedtix outlets.

Cardmembers who purchase via are required to enter the first 6-digits of their Maybank card number into the Promotion Code field for validation purposes. For purchase through, the 6-digits are to be entered at the Complete Order section. If the 6-digits are incorrect, the discount will not be activated.

Commenting on this collaboration, Sepang International Circuit Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Razlan Razali said that SIC were proud to join forces with Maybank as a way of rewarding loyal fans who have continuously supported the F1 since 1999.

“This collaboration enables us to provide the ultimate convenience for our loyal F1 fans. With this online sales channel, fans need not queue up for hours under the blazing sun on Race Day to catch the ‘hottest’ race in the world.

“In addition to that, fans can enjoy exclusive 25% of normal ticket prices for Grandstand tickets, making it one of the most affordable grand prix in the world. This is one way for us to reward the fans for their continuous support since 1999,” added Razlan.

This promotion ends on 15th March 2012. Fans should not miss the opportunity to catch current champion, Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull Racing) dueling with former champions, Jenson Button, Lewis Hamilton (Vodafone McLaren Mercedes), Fernando Alonso (Scuderia Ferrari), Michael Schumacher (Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team) and Kimi Raikkonen (Lotus F1 Team).

2007 world champion, Raikkonen will be making a comeback with the Lotus F1 Team after a 2 year hiatus competing in the World Rally Championship. Raikkonen has previously been in negotiations with Williams before joining Lotus.
