New Mazda5 launched

Mazda has recently launched their new Mazda5 in Sunway Pyramid. Being one of the most popular models from Mazda, the new C-MAV (Compact Multi-Activity Vehicle) inherits all the assets from older Mazda5, complete with new design and improved performance.

Boasting Mazda’s Nagare design language, the Mazda5 is a driving force under the influence of wind and water, with outstanding handling and safety ratings. The new Mazda5 proudly inherits the 6+One packaging concept. The concept include the central walk-through passageway, the hideaway karakuri seventh seat and karakuri utility box.

We like the newly updated leather seats with fine attention to finishing and details. It provides a more solid ambience in the cabin, something that’ll be greatly appreciated by families. Air ventilation is smoother, with improved air flow for second and third row occupants so you won’t hear anymore complains from the backseats from the increasing heat in Malaysia. Getting in and out for rear passengers is easy with the automatic sliding mechanism and the touch sensor trip on both side of the vehicle.

The Mazda5 is powered by the upgraded MZR2.0 engine, which employs Sequential Valve Timing (S-VT) and  an electronic throttle to realise a torquey yet smooth drive. Talk about lugging heavyweight, err, things, around.

5-speed auto tranny is provided, with Active Adaptive Shift (AAS) being installed. Similar system is found in the RX-8 and the MX-5 cars, which features slope control and provide extra help with uphill or downhill drive. Outstanding NCAP safety ratings are obtained, with three-point seatbelts being made available on every seat. On the more green scale, 90% of Mazda5 is recyclable. Mazda5 is priced at RM150,000 on the road with insurance. Get more info at Mazda’s website or head over to the nearest dealer for a more hands-on approach.
