AT the recently concluded Naza Cars and Bikes Carnival 2009, there were something for anyone and everyone who was looking for wheels, be it two or four, from ‘kapchai’ motorcycles worth RM 3,000 to exquisite and much sought after Ferraris worth some RM10million, everything was on offer  during the Carnival that was held at one of the biggest automotive showrooms around, the NAZA Automall in Petaling Jaya.

Due to the overwhelming response from members of the public, motorsports and motoring fans and enthusiasts, the carnival was further extended for two additional days. This was to enable Naza’s customers and prospective customers who missed the not-to-be-missed carnival during the weekend, an opportunity to grab some of the attractive deals that were exclusively on offer only during the carnival.

The carnival recorded impressive sales of close to 300 cars and motorcycles, including sales recorded in other Naza showrooms throughout the country.

The carnival kicked off on Friday as customers and members of the public, some with their children and even extended family and friends in tow, streamed into the showroom to catch a glimpse, get a closer look, and even pose for pictures with some of the exquisite models on display, and to check out the many too-good-to-be-true deals that was offered by the various brands and marques under the NAZA Group of Companies.

Besides cars and bikes, there were special offers on merchandise of the various famous brands and marquees, which became a favourite for most the visitors.

The carnival was not only about cars and bikes, but was in fact three days of fun and games, especially for the children of the visitors, customers and prospective customers.

As NAZA Group of Companies Joint Group Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer SM Faisal Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin said, “The event was not only about cars, but specifically tailored to be a fun family carnival for the whole family”.

“We brought about an atmosphere of fun and games, with activities tailored for families. As the parents were busy negotiating for good and better deals with our salesmen, the little ones were busy either playing at the children’s play area or getting their faces painted and having fun playing other games that were available,” he added.

The carnival, which was held in conjunction with the Malaysian MotoGP 2009 at the Sepang International Circuit, also attracted a large group of bikers on their enviable Ducatis, Harley-Davidsons, NAZAs and other superbike motorcycles. It was also to mark Harley-Davidson of Kuala Lumpur’s first anniversary celebrations in Malaysia under the Naza Group of Companies umbrella.

“It has been the biggest showcase of cars and motorcycles this year”, added a proud and pleased SM Faisal.

The weekend kicked off on Friday and was extended to the equally fun and exciting Ducati Streetfighter party that was held at The Loft, along the famous partying and clubbing street known as Heritage Row in Kuala Lumpur. There on display was the latest Ducati Streetfighter model, as well as other bikes from the Ducati stable.

Following the conclusion of the carnival on Saturday, a convoy of about 150 superbikers, escorted by about 20 police outriders on their equally fast and capable machines, were hosted to a barbeque dinner at the Bukit Kiara Equestrian Club.

Another convoy of about 500 bikes also made their way to the Sepang Track on Sunday to watch the Malaysian round of the MotoGP.

Among the highlights of the carnival was the display of several special rare and exclusive models such as the Mercedes Benz C63 AMG, Honda Civic Type R Mugen RR, Toyota Aurion TRD, Rolls-Royce Phantom, Maybach 57S and a tricked-out, silver Audi R8 sporting quite a few carbon fibre exterior panels and components that is rumoured to have been owned by a member of the Naza family, among others.

Among the motorcycle highlights was NAZA Bikes’ upcoming 125cc scooter that is slated for launching next year, and not forgetting the stunning Ducati Streetfighter.

NAZA Credit & Leasing Sdn Bhd’s unbeatable deals were extended across the brands with their 100% financing for NAZA Bikes, special financing packages for Ducati and Japanese CBUs grey imports, including a special and hard-to-resist 90% financing package for Harley-Davidson bikes at attractive interest rates, with immediate approval for financing.

Some of the activities at the carnival that attracted a lot of attention included the Harley-Davidson bikes games, public games quizzes, best looking bikes competitions and a Batik painting and airbrush demonstration.

The NAZA Italia showroom was a favourite among visitors capitalizing on the best deals on most Ferrari merchandise.

“The event is aimed at creating a fanfare environment among the biker communities and car owners’ clubs within the NAZA compound. There were loads of food and drinks to complement the whole show for the benefit of everyone who came,” added SM Faisal.
