MMER2009 – The Twilight Zone

12 August 2009 No Comment By Traffic Mag

Yeah, I know, it’s such a cliche title, but who cares.

We entered the second half of the race and reaching this point, the photographers without adequate lenses went back to the Media Centre to chill or shooting away the pitlane. This was the moment that most photographers were waiting for as some of these shots can only be taken when the lights are dim enough to allow the glowing discbrakes to be visible.

With less lights and more dark places to hide, it is highly advisable to carry something heavy as some of the photographers can be quite ‘happy’ at times, as you can probably see in Traffic crew. A smack to the head with a huge lense can leave quite a dent to your skull.

Here are some of the shots taken during the second half of the race, when the natural lights fell out of the picture and the photo-vampires lurked the corners of Sepang, under the watchful eyes of the marshals.
