Mercedes GP Watchmaker Graham London Extends Support for GT Asia

After a successful year with the Series in 2010, Graham London has confirmed to extend their support for GT Asia in the 2011 season. This year, the exclusive watchmaker will, at the end of the Season, present the outstanding collector’s timepiece – the Graham Mercedes GP Edition.

Their link to the Mercedes GP Petronas Formula One Team only shows the level of exclusivity and prestige associated with the brand. We would like to extend our thanks to the team at Graham London and DKSH for this continued support for the Series” said David Sonenscher, CEO of Motorsport Asia.

The Series’ best finishers, Champion, Second and Third placed overall along with the Champion in the GT4 Class and the GTM Class will all receive a Graham Special Racing Collection ‘Mercedes GP’ watch each during a special year-end celebration.

“These beautiful watches will be presented at our special year-end party scheduled to be held this November after the Macau GP. This year will also be the first year that the Series is scheduled to run two Championship rounds during the 58th Macau Grand Prix,” said Paul Yao, CEO of Supercar Club Hong Kong.

Graham London will also be presenting a Graham Special Racing Collection ‘Mercedes GP’ watch each to the CEO’s of Motorsport Asia and Supercar Club Hong Kong in recognition of their outstanding efforts to organise the GT Asia Series.

The handcrafted Swiss made watches are distributed in Hong Kong by DKSH and are the official timing partner of the Mercedes GP Petronas Formula One Team.

Last year, Graham London entered into a partnership with the Series in time for the Japan and Macau rounds at the end of the year. The watchmaker was happy with the association to a Series widely recognised to be the best supercar race in Asia.

The season opener for the GT Asia Series, with rounds 1 & 2 will be held this weekend during the Asian Festival Of Speed. The Series will then remains in Malaysia for rounds 3 & 4 held in conjunction with the Super GT before heading to three circuits in Japan. The 2011 Season will end with the final two Championship rounds during the Macau GP.

The GT Asia Series is supported by Michelin tyres, Graham London and Auto Art. The Series is organised by Motorsport Asia and Supercar Club Hong Kong.
