Meet the SuperGT Queens and the cars

Fans of Japan’s biggest racing series, the SuperGT, will have the chance to get a closer look at the mean machines that will be blazing up the tracks at the Sepang International Circuit.

In conjunction with SuperGT International 2010, the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) has organised car displays at Pavilion KL, Sunway Pyramid and Empire Shopping Gallery.

The HIS ADVAN KONDO GT-R car is currently on display at the Bintang Entrance, Pavilion till June 19. Fans can also purchase their tickets to the SuperGT at the SIC ticket booth, located at the Pavilion link bridge on level 4, above the car display.

Fans can also view the 2004 MOTUL PITWORK Z car at the Orange Entrance in Sunway Pyramid, on display till June 18.They can also purchase SuperGT tickets at the SIC ticket booth located at the same place.


The AUTOBACS ARTA NSX (Honda) is being displayed at the main entrance of the Empire Shopping Gallery till June 17, and SuperGT tickets can also be purchased at the same venue.

There will also be special appearances by SuperGT Queens, Kozue Nitta (Koko) and Megumi Hattori (Mimi) on June 13 at Sony Centre, Low Yat Plaza from 3pm to 5pm, and June 14th at Sunway Pyramid’s Orange Entrance at 12.30pm to 1pm, followed by appearances at Sunway Pyramid’s Asian Avenue from 3pm to 4pm and at the Blue Concourse from 5pm to 6pm.

The SuperGT Queens will also be making their appearance at Bintang entrance, Pavilion on June 16 from 7.30pm to 8pm.


Meanwhile, SIC has also announced the winner of the SuperGT costume design contest. The winner, Sew Yin Fun of Carven Academy of Fashion won herself RM2,000 in cash, a pair of GT club passes as well as hamper & vouchers sponsored by Royal Selangor and GTA.

The Super GT International race series is held annually and takes place on renowned Japanese tracks such as Motegi, Fuji Speedway and the Suzuka Circuit. It has long been known among motorsports fans as a powerful combination of dazzling mean machines and their beauty queens.


This year, the fourth round of the SuperGT International Series race will take place on June 20 at the Sepang International Circuit. A total of 13 cars and 26 drivers will be battling for the championship title in the GT500 category, while 19 cars with 38 drivers will be competing in the GT300 category.

The 2010 Super GT International Series would also be featuring the new GT4 Asia Cup, the GT3 Asia Series, Yaris/Vios Experience Race in Sepang as well as the environmentally-friendly Scirocco Cup as the support races.

Tickets for the Main Grandstand are priced at RM100 and tickets for K1 area are priced at RM70. Tickets for the circuit safari are priced at RM100, while parking charges are priced at RM5 for cars and RM2 for bikes (per entry).
