LRX confirmed!

Published on September 26th, 2009

Okay, this is definitely not something that you should not be offroading with. Land Rover has confirmed that the LRX concept car is going into production! The LRX will join the Range Rover line-up in 2011, nicknamed the mini Range Rover.

No details are available yet, but we’re sure that the LRX is not going to be a soccer mom’s car. The three-door LRX will definitely scream a pure V8 pleasure, or maybe even more.

The new LRX is going to be the smallest, lightest and most efficient vehicles the company has ever produced, which can mean it’s the most agile (which suggest sportier handling), the most powerful (you’re telling me they’re not slapping a V8 into that? Come on!) and will probably be built with hybrid technology in mind. Bear in mind that all these ideas are speculations only.

The car definitely means business. So is this going to be an option besides the Range Rover Sport? Or a Freelander upgrade?

All details will be released next year, with hopes that the car doesn’t disappoint, because its look definitely scored some high points.

You can enjoy the pictures for now.
