HYUNDAI-SIME DARBY MOTORS: This is The Biggest 3S Centre in The State of Penang Measuring 31,000sq ft

Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) opens its 3S centre in Sungai Pinang today making it the third 3S centre in Penang. The showroom is operated by Sime Darby Auto Hyundai (SDAH), subsidiary of Sime Darby Motors. The opening was officiated by Mr. Kim Hoo-Keun, Head of Asia & Pacific Regional Headquarters, Hyundai Motor Company.

This new 3S centre, which is a qualified 3S Elite Centre is also in compliance with the Hyundai Dealer Enhancement Programme (DEP). The DEP is introduced by HMC to reinforce Hyundai’s brand presence by aligning with Hyundai’s global corporate image.

“With support from HMC, HSDM took a bold move to consolidate two Hyundai distributorships to become the sole distributor in Malaysia in 2009. Since then, its network strategy focuses on the setting of 3S facilities to enhance customers’ purchasing and ownership experience. The number of 3S Centres increased by 45% to thirteen 3S Centres from 2009 to 2011. With the successful launch of YF Sonata & LM Tucson, this strategy effectively elevated the brand perception in the market.” said Mr Dennis Ho, Managing Director of Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors Sdn Bhd.

This new centre is strategically located in the Jalan Sg. Pinang motor belt which occupies 31,000 sq ft. It has modern features and facilities that provide greater comfort and conveniences such as premium customer lounge with free Wi Fi and refreshment, Quick Service and 24-hour Key Drop to its customers.

The Quick Service and 24-hour Key Drop are the latest services offered at all Sime Darby Auto Hyundai’s 3S Centres. Quick Service eliminates long waiting hours at the service centre but only applies to basic car servicing and does not include repairs.

The 24-hour Key Drop enables customers to leave their car at the service centre at any time of the day for servicing or repair. It’s as simple as filling up a form and dropping off the key at a secured box. Once the envelope is picked up by the Service Advisors, a call will be made to confirm the type of service or repair required.

This huge 3S centre with a total of 11 service bays enables a quicker turnaround time so that customers need not have to wait very long for their cars to be ready. It can accommodate 30 Hyundai vehicles a day. With a team of trained & experienced staff, Hyundai’s 3S centre in Penang is confident of delivering quality service to its customers. With this 3S Centre and new models that are in the pipelines, we expect 100% growth in sales in Penang Island for 2012.

“The Hyundai community is steadily growing in Penang with approximately 700 units sold in 2010. This new 3S centre in Penang will be the hub for Hyundai service dealers in the northern region as the centre is completed with the latest Hyundai  after sales service equipment and expertise. In our commitment to after sales service and to provide convenience to the growing community in the northern region, the 3S centre in Prai will be shifted to bigger facilities and expected to be ready in December 2011 while new 3S Centres in Ipoh and Taiping are expected to be ready by the first quarter of 2012.   ” said Mr. Ho.
