The Jakarta International Drift Competition was concluded last 31st January 2010. The two-day event received a huge number of participants of 41 drifters. The event was held at JIExpo in Kemayoran.

GT Radial as the title sponsor brought down its team to battle it out under the banner of GT Radial – Top 1 Drifting team with Fitra Eri as the driver. As the title sponsor, GT Radial opened a display booth and a tyre service truck centre providing the service of tyre change and nitrogen-filling all throughout the event.

Drifting can be reckoned as a new thingy to the Indonesians and this event was first-ever international drift event held in Indonesia. It’s all thanks to Mr. Anton Aprianto who brought the brand Understeer from Malaysia under the name of Under5ive Enterprise into Indonesia. Jakarta International Drift Competition was a successful cooperation of Under5ive as the organizer, IMI, GT Radial as the title sponsor and Global TV as the official media partner.

Entertainment was a must and Drumaholic showed off their skills of percussion all throughout the event. It would be a cardinal sin to have a motoring event without girls, and truth be told the event had more than enough Indonesian beauties to feast your eyes on.

Kudos to the organizer and other involved parties in organizing the first ever international level drifting event in Indonesia. We at trafficmagonline.com will be looking forward for more drift events in Indonesia.
