Dato’ SM Faisal create history for Naza Group

THE NAZA Group of Companies Joint Group Executive Chairman Dato’ Hj SM Faisal Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin, besides being a multi-award winning entrepreneur, is the first Malaysian, and the youngest to have been offered the opportunity to enroll under the Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management Program (OPM) in Boston recently.

The part-time, multi-year program for entrepreneurs was offered for Dato’ SM Faisal’s renewed diversity and dynamism in handling a truly international conglomerate.

He prides himself with bringing together all the international brands, including its respective cultures, under one roof.

The OPM is carried out over three-week sessions, spread across three years. Under the program, ‘students’ are exposed to developing long term strategies for effective change, creating practical action plans, and leveraging the extensive Harvard Business School’s network for advise and peer support.

“The program was beneficial as it brought together the various case studies of international businesses that were previously proven, and applying them with discretion onto the respective scenarios. This is in furtherance to what we at the NAZA Group have been doing with some of the international automotive and motorcycle companies. This experience further proves that some of these principles have been in action in Malaysia,” said Dato’ SM Faisal, Joint Executive Group Chairman of NAZA Group of Companies.

Dato’ SM Faisal added that the program also enabled its participants to explore crucial business challenges from finance, marketing, and business control to more forward-looking topics such as leadership, strategy, and global markets — all from the unique perspective of owners balancing their personal and professional issues.

The program further established Dato’ SM Faisal as a pioneer in the future of the NAZA Group of Companies that was cemented with the various awards he received since the start of the year.

“Equipped with these qualities, I aim to realize the 10th Malaysia Plan’s objective of unleashing productivity-led growth and innovation throughout the NAZA Group of Companies,” he added.

Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak had, last month, announced the 10th Malaysia Plan that encompassed the need to transform the country into high-income nation but nurturing, attracting and retaining top talent.

The Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards (APEA) recently awarded Dato’ SM Faisal the “Young Entrepreneur of the Year” title from Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Dato Sri Ismail Sabri Yaacob.

It was truly progress from one generation of NAZA to another as Entrepreneurship Asia awarded the late Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin the “Lifetime Achievement” award in 2008.

For successfully transforming his portfolio of companies into a truly international conglomerate, Dato’ SM Faisal earlier in the year received the “Emerging CEO” award by the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Malaysia (NCCIM) in February.

In May, the KL Malay Chamber of Commerce awarded him with the “Entrepreneur of the Year”, for his contribution to the automotive industry and as a young Bumiputra entrepreneur.

Hi there, thank you for dropping by and browsing in our website. Appreciate it alot and Selamat Hari Raya to you dude, and we have no idea what is going on between these two brothers where Marion is concern. We prefer their fleet of cars rather Marion herself hehehe… Anyhow, it is their internal problems that we are not interested in but thanks again for pointing it out though… She is a hot babe anyway so I’m guessing Faizal is just jealous hahaha…

    Anyway, chill brother 😉
