Published on October 31st, 2009

For those of you contemplating on calling a brand new Proton Exora or Persona your own, make haste and get it by the end of the year to receive a free local holiday.

The Proton Drive for Holidays campaign is the finale to Proton’s year-end sales campaign and runs from November 1 until December 31 2009.

Customers that purchase a new Exora or Persona during the campaign period will instantly get a free three day, two night stay at one of the 33 local participating hotels around the country. No fine print, no catches, no frills, just buy an Exora or Persona during the period and drive it to your free holiday destination.

Fret not too if you plan on purchasing a Proton model other than the Exora or Persona. All customers that buy a Proton model during the period are eligible to participate in an SMS contest to stand a chance of winning one of seven handphones offered daily.

The winners for the SMS contest will be determined by the time taken to answer three random questions via SMS. Answer them all right in the shortest time and start calling your friends on your new Nokia handphone.

Giving till it hurts, Proton have organized another contest for the winners of the SMS contest whereby they may send in a photograph of their favourite part of their new Proton via MMS with a catchy and creative caption to win cash prizes apart from an exciting three day, two night holiday at a local destination.

On hand to officiate the Hawaiian-themed launch of the campaign at Mutiara Damansara was Datuk Syed Haji Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir, Group Managing Director of Proton Holdings Berhad.

“It has been a fairly good year for Proton and we want to give back to customers by offering them this exciting year-end holiday packages with their new Proton car purchases. We have for the first time in 36-months captured the number one position in Malaysian car sales for consecutive months of June and July and we have broken our sales record for the Saga and Persona in July,” said Syed Zainal.

Accompanying him was Mohamed Shukor Ibrahim, Proton Edar Chief Executive Officer and Kamsani Haji Ahmad, General Manager of Marketing for Proton Edar.
