I bet everyone of us have a dream car. Back when I was in Form Four, the car that will always get me all-excited was the legendary Honda CRX, and it still does! I had a huge argument with my dad when I failed a number of subjects and was suspended for another reason all together for two weeks… and during the argument he asked me, “What actually do you want in life?” With utter confidence I answered, ” I want a CRX!” And with that kinda confident answer I had a tight slap that lasted months after the incident occurred. I might have exaggerated at being slapped but it does make the story seems sweeter aye? Somehow that very incident never gets my mind off the CRX.
I simply love the shape of it and with dry weight under a tonne, a 1.6 Vtec engine is more than enough to crack a laugh every when the car slapped other bigger cc makes to smitherin’. During one of a drag event, the one and only and was only held one time earlier this year in Ulu Bernam, we managed to get a full view of gawking at this two CRXs… all done up to be the perfect weapon to battle it out on the straight. Even though it’s a drag machine, both were done up to perfection from outlook to the engine bay. Gone is the time when a battle car comprised of full blown engine and raw power but looked as if it was an abandoned car or even those that looked standard but once you accelerate, the muffler spits fire.
And with all that blabberin’… check out these two drag-prepped CRX. I’m still waiting for that very day I’ll get to own and drive a pristine condition CRX with a full blown engine to match and wreck havoc both in the track and our very own potholes-laden tarmac of Kuala Lumpur. one thing for sure, with a bit of soul-searching on the net, I came across this beautifully done-up CRX. It’s as close as it can get to my visualization of the modification I’d have done on my very own CRX… in a few years time, I hope.
