Prowling Monster Laser

Back in the mid 90’s, Ford was considered as one of the best platform for modification especially the Laser model… regardless whether it was the hatchback or the infamous Ford Laser coupe or Ford ‘Sampan’ as we used to know it back in the days. Damn I’m old.
The most prefered power transplant was Mazda’s B6 with sneezing turbo, the B8 180hp or the B8 210hp for those with a bit more cash in their quest for power. Since then, Ford lost its touch with ‘em modders even when they came …

Ceffy-liciously VIP’d

It’s always nice to see them modded rides cruising down that road with enough stance and visual quality that begs for a second glance. One look is enough to know that some of these cars are fully loaded, or done properly. One look is enough to tell you that these cars are taken care very, very well.
Not to mention the moolah spent on the car, of course.
Sure, some people say that they mod their cars to suit their VIP lifestyle, or their need for speed. Please, modding is not just …

‘Lil White Micro Machine!

What would you do with a ride that you have owned for the past 15 years? Would you bring it in for inspection to renew your road tax once it’s due… and that is provided you get away with the inspection with flying colours, meaning that your particular ride comply with all the regulations and what’s not… only then you’d get your road tax. But then the plan has been scrapped by the government. So what else can you do? In this case, it’s a Daihatsu Charade Aura… selling it …

Compact Recreational Vehicle Runner

When I first saw this MPV, I had no idea what model was it except that it’s a Mitsubishi until the owner told me it’s an RVR. We met the owner during the fasting month when we joined the touge session at Kuala Klawang. Later, after a bit of research, I got to know that it’s better known as SpaceWagon. Mind you that this particular MPV goes ’sprouting’ on a regular basis and damn, it’s fast.

It was quite a surprise when I got to know that the Mitsubishi RVR, which …

Mitsubishi legend - Galant VR4 AMG

Mention VR4, and the word ‘power’ will surely come to mind, especially to those Proton owners who had their rides modded to the max and when the transplant is done to Ol’Skool Saga due to its power-to-weight ratio. We all know what kind of performance can this particular Mitsubishi engine delivers and how the system is still used by later models of Lancer and Evolution with little mods.
The stock 2.0L comes in two variants - 2WD and 4WD. The stock turbocharged engine is capable of delivering around 200 - 240 …

Touge Gombak - Batang Kali - Genting Sempah - Bentong and back! + More pix

It was a busy weekend for us here at TRAFFICmagonline as we had three events to cover on Saturday and on the way back from Tarmac Rally at SIC, I received an information from viable sources of a morning touge session the day after.
So when I was on my way to the Kakikereta.com Interclub TT Session, I was contemplating (besides enjoying the aircond on Syawal’s car) to join the touge session or not, since two weeks earlier, to satisfy my craving for Coffee Beans’ Ultimate Mocha, my car understeered while …

Basic Setup For Touge

As with many new things in life, it is largely considered to be a big step to start something, or anything, new, to be able to have the guts and panache to venture out of one’s cocoon or protective shell, otherwise known as the “comfort zone”. To boldly come out of one’s comfort zone to try or start something new can be scary, it can be intimidating, and for quite a few people, they usually stutter or retreat back into their comfort zone before they can even begin to take …
