Bikers rendezvoused at Subang TUDM Airport from 7 am to take a flight to Chiangrai, Thailand. The flight departed at 9am with 49 bikers and pillion from Malaysia and its neighboring country, Indonesia. Superbikers Association Malaysia Patron YB Dato’ Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid b. This was the last expedition organized by Israq Adventure to close the curtains of 2009 with a bang. It was originally planed as the Cambodia Ride but due to a number of unforeseen circumstances, the organizer decided to change it to North Thailand Ride. Again BMW Motorrad owners embarked on a journey. This time around it was the BMW Motorrad Yunnan Ride 2009. On the  13th November, the convoy made their way from the city capital,  Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok via Hatyai. As it was quite a long journey the riders had a rest and relax in Bangkok the day after.

This month we were shocked by the news report of a freak accident that occured at the KB Mall in Kota Bharu, Kelantan where a turbo-charged Ford Laser plunged down two storeys and caused the death of two. My condolences to the family. It’s been hyped by the media that the accident was the result of modification done to the vehicle. Just my two cents though… but have they ever consider the stupidity of the driver instead of the modification?
