The upgrades the Subaru XV STI Performance gets from the normal XV are STI front and rear under-spoilers and side skirts as well as an STI roof spoilers and an STI Flexi-Tower Bar for improved handling. This upgrades has been proven in Fuji Heavy Industries wind-tunnel test facility to provide a better driving experience from the normal variant. Additional items worth mentioning are STI Performance badges, daytime running lights for the exterior and chrome climate control dials, matte silver steering wheel control panel and side panels.

Among the standard items that are carried over from the normal variant are cruise control, multi-function steering wheel that is available with a paddle-shift, audio system that consists of a touch screen panel and channeled through 6 speakers with GPS navigation function, auto air-conditioning system with anti-dust filter and a reverse sensor and door alarm system. On the safety side, the Subaru XV STI Performance gets a Hill Start Assist, Vehicle Dynamics Control system, 4-channel ABS with Electronic Brake-Force Distribution and Brake Assist system, front driver and passenger airbags with knee airbags available for driver-side only and rear 3-point seatbelts with ISO-FIX adapted child seat anchors.

In conjunction with the regional launch of the Subaru XV STI Performance Edition, Motor Image Malaysia also officially launched its newest 3S center in Petaling Jaya.

This new 3S center contains all its sales, service and spare parts in under one roof. This center boasts a contemporary concept with the objective of better serving Subaru customers and meeting the growing customer expectations in Malaysia.
