Not many of us in Malaysia is in the know of ACG events, which were held almost every month in the Land of the Rising Sun. ACG2012 has been expanding ever since its inception back millennia ago. It’s one of the best platform for audio freaks to compete with one another in quite a number of categories. The first leg of the ACG2012 was held in Kansai followed by Chubu, Tohoku, Chugoku and Kyushu.
The final ACG2012 was held in Odaiba, which is an artificial island in Tokyo Bay built way back in 1850s. Odaiba has been expanded ever since and now it is known among the residents of Japan as the Rainbow Town, which I guessed it’s pretty much due to the Rainbow Bridge. ACG2012 Final caught the attention of the Philippines and Malaysia as there were participation from both countries all geared up to battle their Japanese counterparts. All in all, the Finals managed to gather up 350 participation competing in various categories.
As the Finals progresses, the modded rides flooded the huge parking lots and before you know it, it was a massive fiesta for ’em ICE lovers. As the sun sets in, the drizzling rain came but to no avail, didn’t managed to disperse the crowd. At night, it was a rainbow of lights as all the rides show off their LEDs’ blaring its rays complementing the ICE clarity to the max! I have to admit, I seriously don’t understand the craziness with LEDs but somw of the modification done by the owners competing in the ACG2012 did caught my eyes all wide while some just had me a tad too close to the verge of puking my insides all out.
Back to ACG2012, it was quite a fiesta for everyone. There were an impromptu competition for the crowd as well to keep everyone all jolly throughout the hours. Revival Stance showed their prowess on the stage entertaining the crowd. The competition were quite stiff and the judges had one hell of a time before making their final decision of the winners in their respective categories. Nevertheless, congratulations to all the winners and better luck the oncoming years to come for the rest of the competitors. With participation of the Philippines and Malaysia, ACG2012 reached a new height as an international competition for ICE lovers all over the world.
