A MORE LUXURIOUS GRAND STAREX ROYALE

Published on August 9th, 2011

Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors Sdn Bhd (HSDM) has launched the new 2011 Hyundai Grand Starex Royale that offers more luxurious and practical features, making it a perfect vehicle for all occasions including business meetings.

The main external changes include a new front chrome grille, LED daytime running lights on the wing mirrors, side skirting, new front and back bumpers and a new rear spoiler with built-in stop light.

Apart from the new look, the interior is also upgraded with luxurious features designed with enhanced comfort in mind, especially for the passengers. Among the upgrades are the swivel seats and optional Nappa leather seats.

The Swivel seats on the second row make it perfect for face-to-face chats or business meetings, while the sliding seats on the third row can alternatively be turned into armrests for extra comfort and spaciousness.

The upgraded Grand Starex Royale also comes with a new optional power sliding near side door that enables passengers to get into or out of the back of the vehicle without much hassle. With just the push of a button, the near side door silently and smoothly slides open or close, without the need for passengers to manually open or close it.

This vehicle is also fitted with a newly designed instrument cluster incorporating a trip computer, which enables the vehicle owner to not only record the distance travelled but also the average fuel efficiency and real time fuel consumption.

A safety feature, the Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), is also added in the new Grand Starex Royale which helps the driver during adverse road and weather conditions. Travelling is also made easier with a standard GPS navigation system that guides the driver to his or her destination, thus eliminating time and fuel wastage.

The Grand Starex Royale maintains its industry-leading powerhouse – the advanced 2.5-litre CRDi diesel engine coupled with a Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT) and a turbo intercooler.

This engine unleashes a potent maximum power output of 125 kW (170PS) at 3,800 rpm and a massive maximum torque of 392 Nm (40 kg-m) at 2,000 to 2,500 rpm for instantaneous response and exhilarating performance.

The superior engine technology and luxurious design will certainly make the vehicle an excellent choice for a full family MPV or a mobile office or meeting space for business people on the go.

It remains the best value for money for a large and modern MPV in Malaysia. The Grand Starex Royale 2.5GLS Diesel (A) VGT is attractively priced at RM153, 888 (OTR) and premium package at RM165, 888(OTR) in West Malaysia.

The vehicle comes in four colours – Crystal White, Stone Black, Sleek Silver and Carbon Grey – and is available for viewing, booking and test-drive at all Hyundai showrooms nationwide starting 28th July 2011.

It was the winner of the CIMB Autoworld Car of The Year Awards 2010 for the Best MPV (large category) and the winner of Asian Auto Fuel Efficiency Award 2010 for the Luxury MPV category with 9.6l/100km.

Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors offers a 5-year or 300,000km (whichever comes first) extended warranty on all its new passenger vehicles. A 24-hour road assist service is also now available to new and existing Hyundai vehicles.

Hyundai’s new brand statement ‘New Thinking. New Possibilities’ encompasses Hyundai’s new brand concept, ‘Modern Premium,’ which aims to provide customers with value and experiences beyond expectations.

Hyundai’s ‘modern premium’ concept is based on the idea that high quality does not necessarily require a high acquisition price. Hyundai now offers high-end, high quality and efficient cars at an affordable price. This is not limited to just the product, but also Hyundai’s entire business, operations and services.
